After completing fellowship training in Rheumatology from Wayne State University, Michigan, she moved to Texas with her husband and two daughters. She started full time Rheumatology practice in 1995
She is a member of American College of Rheumatology. She is also currently involved in clinical research pertaining to Rheumatoid Arthritis and Gout. She has consulting privileges at Medical center of McKinney, Texas and Baylor Medical Center, McKinney, Texas.
She believes in providing excellent patient care and latest therapies for Rheumatolgical Diseases.During her free time she enjoys travelling with family, playing table tennis and listening to music

Dr. Thiruvasahar received her medical degree from Jaffna Medical Faculty, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. She completed her residency at Southern Illinois University in internal medicine and Fellowship in Rheumatology at Louisiana State University. She is board certified in both internal medicine and Rheumatology and has practiced in Paris,Texas for the last 5 years.
